at long last

Swimsuits, ice cream cones,

chalk, cousins,

stilts, smiles,

trucks, sharing,

bikes, rosy cheeks,

tubes, laughter,

splashing, and together.... 

It must be summer.

 Spring has sprung, albeit

 slowly and coldly. 

 Busy days follow busy bodies, playing

 planting, digging, watching, 

 learning, and growing. 

Our days are full, our bodies in perpetual motion; 

 our minds struggle to grasp the passage of time, in this season of life

we call parenthood.

We had a lively birthday day at home, with the sweet bonus of no school today. 

We wish this giant snow storm was a b-day present we could return!!!
