"Idle" is not a word that would describe our life in August.

Amidst the swirl of the harvest season, we launch into another endeavor and welcome two pigs.

OINK to snouts rooting around in fresh dirt. OINK to tossing old veggies in pigs' way. OINK to kids who are so excited with our new residents. OINK to summer.

August is our culinary nirvana.

We set down our hoes,

tuck away our seed packets,

and revel in the veritable fruits of our labor

There are never enough meals in the day to savor it all.

But we do our best trying.
